Our Sessions
Three structured ways to develop a clearer understanding of your household finances.
Each session is designed to be useful on its own terms. Choose the one that fits where you are — and know that the first is a complete experience in itself.

Our approach to financial education
Every Sumora session begins with the same question: what does this household's financial picture actually look like right now? That question is answered carefully, using the documents the participant brings and a structured set of guiding questions developed over years of practice.
We do not begin with a prescription. We begin with a map. The household's current position — income, outgoings, savings instruments, insurance coverage, outstanding obligations — is laid out before anything is discussed. Only then does the session turn to questions of direction, proportion, and the instruments available.
Pre-session preparation: A short material list is sent in advance — usually a recent bank statement and EPF statement. No prior knowledge required.
Mapping the picture: The session opens with a listening phase before any analysis begins.
Working through the structure: Guided by the session format, each topic is addressed at an appropriate level of depth.
Summary and next questions: The session closes with a clear statement of position and — where applicable — a printed document to take away.
Single Session · 90 Minutes
First Morning Review Session
A single-session introduction for adults who would like a calm first look at their own financial picture without committing to a longer engagement. The session gathers a small set of information in advance — one or two months of bank statements, a recent EPF statement, and a short note about current goals — and spends ninety minutes mapping the picture onto a single readable page.
The participant leaves with a printed copy of the summary page and a short set of considered next questions if they choose to return. This session works equally well as a standalone exercise and as a starting point for one of the longer engagements.
- Bank statement and EPF review
- Household financial picture mapped to a single page
- Printed summary provided at session close
- Short set of considered next questions
- Available in person or via video call
Five Sessions · ~2 Months · Small Group
Young Family Finance Programme
A five-session programme for households with young children, paced over approximately two months. Delivered as small-group sessions with groups capped at six households, allowing participants to exchange observations without pressure.
Sessions cover household cash flow at this stage of life, education savings approaches from a calm long-horizon perspective, insurance adequacy for dependents, EPF and PRS contributions during the child-rearing years, and how to schedule a light annual household review.
- Groups capped at six households
- Cash flow management for young families
- Education savings — SSPN-i, Amanah Saham and beyond
- Insurance and Takaful adequacy for dependents
- Annual review scheduling template included
3 Months · 5 Sessions · Comprehensive
Household Orientation Engagement
A three-month engagement for households who would like a thorough, unhurried orientation to their current financial picture. Meetings include a listening session, three working sessions on cash flow, savings, investments, insurance, and medium-term goals, and a closing review.
The engagement produces a short printed summary describing the household's current position and considered next questions. The summary is intentionally short enough to be read in ten minutes and is expected to be returned to over the coming year.
- Opening listening session, three working sessions, closing review
- Covers cash flow, savings, investments, insurance, medium-term goals
- Printed household summary — ten-minute read, useful for a year
- Post-session follow-up questions included at no extra cost
- In person or video — your choice per session
