Why Sumora

What sets our approach apart

No agenda beyond clarity

Sumora does not sell financial products. Each session is focused solely on helping you read your own situation more clearly.

Small groups, honest conversation

Group sessions are kept intentionally small so that participants can exchange real observations without feeling observed.

Something tangible to take away

Every engagement produces a short printed summary — a single readable page you can return to over the months that follow.

Paced for real life

Multi-session programmes unfold over weeks, not days. There is space to reflect between meetings before the next question is introduced.

Malaysia-specific context

All sessions are grounded in Malaysian financial instruments — EPF, PRS, Takaful, and local savings options — not generic frameworks.

Confidential and unhurried

Your financial picture is treated with discretion. There is no pressure to act on any particular recommendation during or after a session.

Would a first session be the right place to start?

Many people find that spending ninety minutes with a structured overview of their finances answers questions they have been carrying for some time. The First Morning Review is designed for exactly that.

Common Questions

Things people often ask before their first session

Do I need to have my finances in order before coming? +
No. Most people arrive with a somewhat unclear picture, and that is precisely what the first session is for. Bring a recent bank statement and an EPF statement if you have them — that is a sufficient starting point.
Is this financial advice or financial education? +
Sumora's sessions are educational in nature. We help you read and understand your own financial picture, and we outline how different instruments and approaches work. We do not recommend specific products, manage funds, or act as a licensed financial adviser.
How many people attend the Young Family programme? +
Groups are capped at six households. This keeps the conversation at a size where participants feel comfortable sharing observations and asking questions without the atmosphere of a large classroom.
What does the printed summary in the Household Orientation include? +
The summary fits on a single page and maps your household's current cash flow, key savings and insurance positions, and a short list of considered next questions. It is designed to be read in ten minutes and to remain useful as a reference over the coming year.
Do sessions take place in person or online? +
The First Morning Review and Household Orientation are available both in person at our Kuala Lumpur office and via video call. The Young Family programme is typically conducted in person to allow for a more natural group dynamic.
How quickly will Sumora respond to an enquiry? +
We aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day. If you write in the morning, you can generally expect a reply by the following morning at the latest.
